should the clutch feroda plate still move about once you have bolted the pressure plate up to the flywheel.mine is still moving about therfore think it would be hard to align the gearbox shaft to the spline of the clutch plate.clutch and pressure plate look identical to the old one. this is on an 02 plate 1litre ecotech corsa.i would be obliged if anyone could help before i try and put the gearbox back in. thanks

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.As Ditchy says it could be the wrong clutch, however sometimes clutch suppliers fit compression clips on the edge of the clutch to allow the clutch to be fed through an aperture in the bellhousing that earlier models had. Once the clutch has been bolted up these clips can be removed allowing the pressure plate to clamp the driven plate ("feroda plate"). As ditchy says it should not move once all the bolts are tight. Check a\round the edge of the clutch for 3 U shaped clips
