Was there a lorry go-slow on the A55?

We were booked on a ferry from Holyhead for Fri 4th July, and the night before Irish Ferries emailed to say the police had warned of a protest on A55 , and we should find an alternative route.
So we left early, and used the windy mountain road instead of the coast road. But we never heard anything about it on the car radio, and we've been out of the country since.
Did it happen or was it like these blackmailing 'bomb scares' that use to disupt everyone without the risks of the real thing?

I see.
We had a good trip anyway, and because we set out early had time to go and look at the RSPB reserve on Holyhead and see the choughs (a first for me), not quite time to walk a bit further and see the puffins without OH getting worried about missing the ferry.
