Car problem

Iv got a rattling or a clunking? noise come from my car when its going over rough ground, the steering is also feeling a bit looser than it used to be.
Anyone got any idea's what the problem is?

i dont think is the exhaust, its coming from the front of the car. Its power steering.
Both problems seemed to happen around the same time.

Check to see if your wheel nuts are on tight, had a similar prob after going to the garage to have the tyres changed. The mechanic forgot to tighten them up and were only on finger tight.

bushes , link arms, ball joints, broken spring.. etc. etc...needs putting on a ramp...

could be the nut on the steering wheel! what car is it ? and how big is the nut?
