I have recently been involved in a traffic accident in which i was at fault. I drove through a crossroads junction and was hit by a car coming from the right. The markings on the road are VERY faint and the give way signs are not clear. My car is a writeoff. The woman in the other car is claiming off my insurance but no one was seriously injured. Now I'm worried that my license will be revoked. Can anyone give me an idea of what type of punishment I'm likely to recieve?

I passed it in March this year and I've been cautioned by the police but not charged, I'm not too sure when they will notify me but it has been 8 days since the accident now.
You have been given a verbal Notice of Intended Prosecution, I expect, so any further news could take some months.

I suggest you telephone them to see what is happening.

This offence carries a penalty of a fine plus 3-9 points.

If you get 6 points or more your licence will be revoked and you will revert to learner status.

You may be lucky and get 3 points .
