V W Beetle

Have a problem on my daughter Beetle .The oil light is staying on (in yellow) ,i've changed the oil switch ,made sure that the oil is on the mark ,any other things that i could do before i get the pump examined ?? .

this is the newer beetle as it incorprated the 2 stage oil warning system as other vw engines ie the 1.9 sdi thats in the skoda octavia, needs to bee plugged into a dignostics system to see what is triggering the warning, DONT drive it if it goes from orange to red

Sorry1, the year of the car is a 2000 ,which is also the engine size .
