I am learning to drive and my instructor has tried to explain how this works in relation to how it will affect the car. Can someone please tell me in a clear way to help me in my driving.
I believe that relasing the clutch slows you down and visa versa. I just can't get my head round it not being mechanically minded!

Thats brill!! I am being taken the p*$$ out of for reading it out loud but it's really informative. Thanks. Lesson at 5.30, hopefully I won't stall this time!
must admit it does cover it pretty well and it really does make a difference knowing exactly how things work and the effects the various controls have..

I need to know how things work in order to understand them properly, i'm a bit strange in that way. That site is very useful.
Wow! That was brilliant! I never really knew how it all worked either, very interesting. It didn't prevent me from passing the first time round, though, Sazzy, so don't worry yourself too much! :O)
