STOP light on dashboard keeps flickering...

but has no effect on the car...
it has been doing this on an off for about a year... it never stays on...just randomly flickers for a bit ...then just stops....

it has just been to the garage and appears to have been fixed as it kept cutting out....

is this likely to just be a faulty connection to the bulb or something?

I`ve got a Jag that does this , very occasionally. The ABS light is ok, but as the car is 13 years old, I`m going to buy an aerosol can of switch cleaner from Maplins, disconnect the multi plugs & give them a squirt - especially the brake fluid resevoir one.
