As I was approaching a road junction this morning the light turned to Amber and I slowed down but my front wheels just crossed the white line as I came to a stop. I had no intention of going through... I just misjuged the stopping distance (I was trying to work out if I was in the correct lane of this masssive juction... I was basically lost!). It's no excuse I know, I just wondered whether to expect a fine. Cheers! Mike :-)

wouldn't have thought so. Did anyone, or any camera, see you? Was the light amber or red when you crossed the line?
Was there a camera and did it take a photograph?

If not how are you thinking your getting done.

I was once told that crossing the line is techicaly illegal I would think you would have a chance of pleading your case.

You stopped, no endangerment etc you only have to look around you to see that people do it all the time.

There are are cameras (I saw no flash) whether it was red or not as I actually crossed I'm not sure. Even if it was Red it was just my front weels over the line and I did not skid or proceed any further.m Cheers! Mike
The camera would only have been activated if you went through the junction.
If it is from a camera then I doubt it. It will take two pictures to show you have continued accross the junction, if you have not continued then you will be fine.

Legally though you have committed the offence as no part of the vehicle should be over the line, if it is through error then this is a due care and attention offence.
Don't think you have any problem here at all.
