hand brake cable price
Hi, my hand brake cable snapped on my vauxhall corsa 1000 cc twinport. I'm going to take it to a garage to get it fixed but i want to know how much roughly they will charge me. I'm not sure of prices and I don't want ripped off. Supplied and fitted. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

there are 4 pieces that make up the handbrake cable
on the Corsa C model, ranging in price from about a tenner to twenty
they are pretty easy to fit if it is the 2 pieces that dont go into the drum,
i done my sons for him,but i have been fixing my own motors since 1976 - where possible
get somebody with a bit of know how to do it,
unless you really want a garage to do it,
don't know what they would charge - get a price first.
good luck

hi baggio,
the cable itself should only cost 20-30 depending and it really should only take 1hour max to fit it so your probably looking at 60-80 at the top end. For something simple like this youd be better off taking it to a small local garage rather than a dealers garage because they will charge you a fortune. When you phone up to book it in just ask them how much it will be, I always do beforehand. Hope this helps
