can anyone tell me what these cars are like to own i have seen one i quite like its a 1994 model, never having owned a vauxhall before would like some views tia

Hi, Vauxhalls are as good as the person that looks after it, gets it serviced right, at the right intervals, with the right parts etc, it does not have to be a rip off dealer but a local family owned or private owned non rip off garage, The convertible Electrics need to be checked if you are buying as they seem to be very complicated in their design, If you are not Mech minded it is worth your while to take someone with you even If It costs you �30.

not had a convertible one but have had 2 MK 3 astras,
Ok but now getting a bit dated ,usual probs incured are head gasket on 1 - 1.6 petrol, at 20k
no other major issues, dont keep em that long,
i've only had 15 Vauxhalls so can't comment too much !

yes i will take someone with me not mech minded at all, its a 2.0 engine so i expect it would use quite a bit of fuel.
