Hi revs?

Hi, I wonder if anyone can help. I have a Vauxhall Corsa 1998 1.2 Breeze, when i start the engine up, it revs to the max without me putting my foot on the accelerator and won't stop until I cut the engine off. Does anyone know what this could be?

Accelerator cable stucking.

Go under the bonnet and see if you can manually control thr reves from there, if you can it may be as simply as a cable sticking. If not it may be controled by a fly by wire system, in that case it might have to go on the computer at the garage.
