Scrapping a car

What's the simplest way to legally scrap a driveable car. I put it on my works noticeboard for �50 but no takers. What can I do with it now? Tax runs out end of May so need to hurry.

or look at your local councils website. Search for scrap, and you should find out if they offer a car scrappage scheme. Mine has a free scheme.

Thanks Kira. My local council does offer a free scheme. I'll try them tmrw
Take it to your local scrap yard � 50 to �70 scrap value.
I scrapped my son's Volvo a couple of months ago and got �103 for it. Ring the scrapyards.
Whereabouts are you ? I'll drag it away and give you �50 if you're in derbyshire !

Sorry bit too late, i'm in Dorset anyway. Thanks to you all - a local scrapyard gave me �40 without even looking at it.
