is it common knowledge that you can reach BOTH sides of a car with the hoses at petrol stations?

many times i have been held up by queues of people waiting for a pump to be free on the side their cap is on... is this not widely known?

I dont use car washes anymore, crafty.................last time i used one it ate up my windscreen wipers!!.

I use the hand wash guys and girls at the supermarkets....they do a great job overall........do it myself if i feel in the mood, and i know of a couple of outlets that you drive in and get a choice....hand wash or machine wash too.( always hand for the bear now)

Robknot, there is a knack you need to learn.

Pull the airhose out a long way. Drop it low and sideways so it jams under a wheel, then it can't retract.

i did my tyres yesterday, and the hose reached all 4 tyres and i was about 2 metres away from the pump...

and broken, i dont care what you think m'dear...if the cap is at the end of the vehicle theres no reason it wont reach around the back as long as you are close enough to the pumps...
