Hi, To insert the locking pin into the flywheel through the cylinder head flange, the crank needs to be turned but no matter how much i turn it i cannot find the hole for the locking pin in the flywheel, you can only her a clicking sound from the pin hitting the teeth. Is there an easier way of finding the hole in the flywheel?

Turn the crankshaft only clockwise.1st locate the camshaft sprocket pin and then pump. If the crankshaft pin can not locate ,turn the crankshaft again 360 degrees to locate once more the camshft sprocket and pump. Try the flywheel pin by giving a gentle rocking to and fro
Sorry the second line should have read... turn camshaft sprocet 360 deg. in which case the crank will turn 180 deg.could the size ofthe pin you are using big. try one smaller for aligning the hole
