If you sell it untaxed you can get a refund from dvla for the months unused.

It's a 2.5 Beemer, jake
So what does it do 30mpg?

Counting on my fingers the car tax is about the same as driving 24 miles a week

Probably not far off what you pay in tyres in a year?

30mpg is spot on jake....if driven sensibly, it wasn't the total amount i was moaning about just the increase from £104.50 to £112.75.
Wish petrol prices had only gone up that much!
I was well annoyed, had my reminder through to say £190 for 12months. Went to tax it Tuesday just gone and was told £205. "how Bl**dy much" can just about except £5 a year but £15!!! Takin the urine if you ask me!
Question Author
I thought the same rnchugg, i expected a couple of quid but £8.25 is a joke.
It's amazing the way a 2.5% pay rise... can take a couple of years to be phased in ....
But yet an increase in road tax... can be brought in overnight..!
Good old government
And these increases are rarely mentioned in the budget speech- I doubt this one was. The budget speech is 'spin'- the real details are in the detailed budget papers,
mine has just gone DOWN to £90 a YEAR ha ha ha! (£30saved) result
