What medical condition did the wagon driver that crossed over on the M1 have that meant he didn't get the book thrown at him? I'm diabetic which means I can't drive anything bigger than a Luton, and even then if I cause an accident due to not managing my condition properly I can have my license taken off me.
The program didn't say but with the amount of hours the driver had been working, combined with little sleep the previous nite and nothing to eat for over 17 hrs his low blood sugar cud be a few things. One thing he does have is a lack of respect for the law and other road users. How he didn't kill any one is a miracle. The worst bit is the CPR cud not prosecute.
no idea - but i saw the program & was rather annoyed that they closed the road for 7 hours yet nobody died (luckily) I know they want to investigate, BUT 7 hours - why not take photos/videos from the bridge nearby then look at it in the office, lets tie up loads of rescue services for hours on end, grrr
The programme also didn't mention the nationality of the driver. It has become evident recently that there are too many foreign drivers using UK roads who: can't read english, can't speak it, and ignore most UK laws relating to Road Traffic - often to other peoples detriment.
