Don't quite see it as most people already drive at 80mph already...
Question Author
yes ....yes were away now
Are pedestrians allowed in here??
Sorry for the surfeit of alreadys! Actually, I'm undecided about whether the proposed new speed limit is a good thing or not - would like to see some accident stats perhaps. But I suspect the reality is that people in modern cars will ignore a speed limit that's too low and the police don't have the will or the man/woman power to enforce it.

never mind speeding ..what about this traveller knocking on the back door :-)
Sorry about that - bit of a poem I had to learn in my misspent youth...
Just revisited the poem after *** years - it's good!

My brother was a traffic cop for years, he never stopped anyone on the motorway unless they were going over 90mph as there was so many drivers doing that .

So if the limit goes up to 80 looks like your OK to do ninety.
I think it's your CV joints
Knock Knock...is there anybody there?

Just nod if you can hear me..is there anyone home?
I was hoping that my door bell was working again.
I'd forgotton that poem bj, that was good. I'm with mamya, pedestrians are feeling very unloved too.
