reversing across a main road
7 Answers
coming out of my drive i look both ways to see that there are no cars in either direction, i pull across the road to go
left direction if you are looking straight at my drive. a car coming out from t junction opposite my house doesnt anticipate that i am reversing and drives into the back of me, who is at fault, as he has assumed that i reversed into him and i assume he drove into the back of me, no police involvement as h esays its dual liability but has since come back with a quote from a garage for me to fix it.any ideas here?

As for deciding who is at fault, that is what your insurance provider is supposed to do. Failure to report the accident to your insurance company would also be a breach of the conditions of your policy.

The link is not reffering to a driveway it is reffering to a minor to major reversing manoeuvre
It is usualy more severe to be reversing onto a road that is a " Bus Route " but not advisable at any time
The highway code quotes " you should reverse into and drive forwards out of " a driveway where ever possible and in a claim this book would be quoted
