You shouldn't park on the pavement at all - how do you expect mothers with babies and people in wheelchairs to pass safely, as well as it being an offence?
We recently had somebody in a wheelchair nearly killed when they lost their wheelchair into the road trying to get past some selfish moron who had blocked the pavement.
No sympathy for anybody doing it and getting a ticket.
For non-hgvs the driver can be issued a fixed penalty notice for unnecessary obstruction, wilful obstruction, leaving vehicle in a dangerous position, driving on footpath or (unlikely) damaging the footpath.
I can understand peoples comments on your Q Taylor, they are right in what they say, Re/ Prams, Wheelchairs, but I also know the other half of this storey when you are trying to deliver heavy Items, but as said, parking on the pavement, corner bookable offence.
Sorry TWR, but there really is no 'other half of this story'. Whether a driver has got something to deliver or not has no bearing on him deciding to park on the pavement. Pavements are meant for pedestrians not for vehicles.
