6-9 points, a fine.
If the matter is dealt with by a fixed penalty notice you'll receive 6 points and a £200 fine.

If it goes to court you'll almost certainly receive 6 points, which is the minimum for the offence, but the maximum is 8 points. You'll also be given a fine relative to your income. (Typical fines for the offence, reported in our local rag, seem to be in the range of £200 to £350 but those on a very low income are sometimes only fined around £50. The maximum fine is £5000). You'll also have to pay costs (of perhaps £80) and a £15 'victim surcharge'.
