I saw Ike and Tina Turner, the Rolling Stones, the Trogs and the Kinks plus other acts that I can't remember, all for the sum of 15/- that is 75 pence. Can anyone beat that.

I saw the Beatles but can't remember how much it cost.....
I saw the Rolling Stones in the Ulster Hall for 12/-6. That's 62.5p in modern money
No and I envy you, when I worked in Debs Wigan there were staff there that had sat in the Beatles 'dressing room' at the casino in the early 60s. It;'s a time we'll never see again.

Dido
Elton John
Keane
The Killers
Madonna
Mariah Carey
Paul McCartney
REM
Robbie Williams
Scissor Sisters
Snow Patrol
Sting

did see led zep in ´79 for 11 quid plus 2 quid coach fare
I'd have probably regarded those acts as being far too 'heavy rock' for my tastes when I was young!

The first gig I can remember attending at college (unless you count the Vienna Boys Choir or the Hallé Orchestra) was The Spinners!

I went to see the Beatles and did not hear one word that they sang. Girls screaming and fainting everywhere.
this is a list of the stars I would love to see live:

garth brooks...........

My mum went to see Tom Jones when he just started his concerts.
Over the years, mainly in the 80's .. I have seen Pink Floyd three times, D.Purple, Police twice, Diana Ross, Paul Young, Aztec Camera, Prefab Sprout, and a few others. Paul Young and Diana Ross were great concerts .... and I had the honour of being kicked out of a Michael Barrymore concert by him, just like on the shows
: )
forget to say i saw REM in a room above a stripclub in digbeth in ´82 for 2 quid
Saw Roxy Music in the early 70's for free in the Musuem Gardens in York.
when I was 15 I was given a ticket to the open air conert at Charlton, featuring Lou Reed, Humble Pie, Bad Company, Lindisfarne, Montrose and The Who. Not all to my taste, but they all played competently and enthusiastically, and it was on balance an excellent gig.
Oh and The pretenders concert for free too
when I actually had to pay for a ticket probably cheapest was Thirteen senses for about 2.20 off ebay for 2
