I have another question aimed at reducing the influence of Quicktime...

I use firefox, previously when i wanted to listen to a music sample online, it (firefox) would offer me the choice to download the clip or open in Winamp. (this was fine by me). Now it loads mp3 clips in Quicktime in the same window. How do i stop quicktime from doing this? I never gave it permission. And i have told it not to open mp3s in its own (formats to open menu thing!)

Please help.

I am glad i have resisted Itunes.

I presume youve gone to Preferences > Content > File Types > Manage and removed the Actions that allow Quicktime to play in a window?

This is on Mac in FF, but I assume the same for Windows?

What's iTunes got to do with it? They're completely separate.
