Dust if you must.

LADIES!!!

Remember ... a layer of dust protects the Wood beneath it.

'A house becomes a home when you can write 'I love you' on the furniture .'

I used to spend at least 8 hours every weekend making sure things were just perfect - 'in case someone came round. Finally I realized one day that no-one came round; they were all out living life and having fun!
NOW, when people visit, I don't have to explain the 'condition' of my house .
They are more interested in hearing about the things I've been doing while I was away living life and having fun.
If you haven't figured this out yet, please heed this advice..

Life is short. Enjoy it!
Dust if you must ........
but wouldn't it be better to paint a picture or write a letter, bake a cake and lick the spoon or plant a seed, ponder the difference between want and need?
Dust if you must, but there's not much time . . . ...
with wine to drink, rivers to swim and mountains to climb, music to hear and books to read, friends to cherish and life to lead.

Dust if you must,
but the world's out there with the sun in your eyes, the wind in your hair, a flutter of snow, a shower of rain. This day will not come around, again.

Dust if you must, but bear in mind, old age will come and it's not kind...

And when you go - and go you must - you, yourself will make more dust!

I haven't dusted in months!
I'm not sure when I last dusted.

I'll ask Olive on Tuesday.
Can I borrow Olive?
Yes
If you're pimping Olive out can I borrow her too?
I love this jem, it's me all over. I have a fridge magnet which says "if you must write your name in the dust, please don't date it".... that's me.
Isn't that just an excuse to sit on your ar55e and slum it in front of the tv?
I put the petrol in the little car I've given Olive.

I'm not sure I'd be happy if she did a UK Tour !
She can hotfoot it to Croydon in no time!
I quite enjoy dusting and cleaning in general. I get as much satisfaction from having a nice clean, tidy house as I do from baking, gardening, painting etc. I'm not obssesive and there are times when it gets postponed when other things take precedence. I know it's not fashionable to admit it but I like cleaning.
I suppose she could drop me off at Costco if she came to Croydon.
"I get as much satisfaction from having a nice clean, tidy house as I do from baking, gardening"

=0)

I get as much satisfaction from going to the dentist as I do from baking !!"

LOL
There are sooo many other things to do apart from housework (and you do it, and it comes back) - my mother said I should have been a rich man's plaything rather than a young man's slave, she wasn't far wrong in that observation.
I hate dusting and only do it if we are expecting guests, wasnt Quentin someone [ the Naked Civil Servant] who never ever dusted his apartment ?
We couldnt have a "wedding barbie" yesterday because it wasnt warm enough and blow me today its nice and sunny. Enjoy your day everyone.
Quentin Crewe was his name ?

Instead of dusting, wait for a windy day and open your windows.

Although ... up where I am ... with the wind we get off the Channel ... it would probably blow all the furniture to one end of the room!!
Love it x
top tip- always keep a duster and can of polish by door, that way if you get any visitors, pick them up before you open the door and make out you were just dusting
