Could anyone give me the title or artist for these lyrics from a late 60s early 70s I think it was a duet of the Tamla/Soul style of that era. "IT WAS NEVER LIKE THIS WHEN I READ THE BOOK, MAYBE I'D BETTER TAKE A SECOND LOOK" I always thought the title was "GIVE ME JUST A LITTLE MORE LINE" though that may have been just the start of the chorus. It was out at a similar time to "Give me just a little more Time" which adds to the confusion. Thanks in advance for saving my sanity.
Rosetta Hightower (singer with the Orlons) did a song called "Give Me Just a Little More Line" in 1971ish - which would tie in with the Chairmen of the Board similarly-titled hit. To be honest, I don't think I've ever heard the song, but remember reading of it in Blues and Soul magazine.
