Thanks Bobbi. I had that song played for him at his 50th birthday, six months after he'd just recovered from a brain haemorrhage.

arhh Jan, I didn't know, I really feel for you.xxx
Jan - I hope your broken heart will be a little healed soon and those sad memories turn into happier ones........I am still grieving for my Mum and it really hurts, so I can't begin to imagine what your grieving must be like.

Hi DEN...I know :-)
Question Author
DEN you have been called over sensitive on here...if only they knew pet :-)
I wouldn't call anyone that, I too know what it's like.
Hi Den. Thank you lovey and I hope you are doing a bit better now. It's just all hit me at once and with Christmas coming up it hasn't helped that that is all people are talking about when I'm dreading it. I'm sorry if I've made anyone feel awkward tonight, it wasn't my intention, just get a bit fed up of the bickering and nitpicking when I've only popped on for a laugh or a chat. xx
Question Author
I know you wouldn't boxy, but it has happened
Jan - I'm doing a lot better than I was, but early days still. I hate Christmas, and to be honest its just another day, its just basically, Sunday Lunch with a Cracker, sh!te presents, boring TV and everybody moaning .
Question Author
come with me to Lanzarote, wow, what a time we three would have :-)
I'm not a massive fan of Christmas either. Glad when it's over and everything is back to normal.
are you getting away, bobbi - what about the strike?
Question Author
alright, you in all Mrs c, we can stay at the Lanzarote Princess...very posh,,haha
I know what you mean Den. Apart from the first year we had the pub, because we only took over in the October and didn't get time to organise anything, Gary and I were usually working and enjoyed it more that way, entertaining other people. It's only an excuse to drink more and eat more and frankly, who needs an excuse?
Question Author
I hope it does not happen Boxy,,,
Question Author
I didn't realise you had been Publicans Jan?
My case could be packed at a minutes notice, hahaha
I'd take you up on it Bobbs, if I could get someone to look after our four-legged friends. (And lots of two-legged friends too....we have parrots and birdies).
Question Author
Costa Teguise here we come
the Golden Girls...lol
Gary grew up in a pub Bobbi. His mum had the same pub in London for 26 years then Gary went into club management. I'd worked in pubs since I was 18 and we got our own pub a year after we got married and had that for 6 years then went into club management again. It's probably why it drives me mad being at home most of the time now I am pretty much housebound after being surrounded by people so much.
