Funerals

Have any off you thought about the music for your funeral. Went to one today of a friend. When we walked in the church they were playing "Love is in the air" by John Paul Jones. And at the end it was "May each day" by Andy Williams. It was really nice and such a change. I am tempted to have "Another one bites the dust" Queen. What about you lovely lot?

"I desire that my body be cremated without ceremony and that my ashes be disposed of, also without ceremony, in any convenient refuse receptacle".
So I'm not hoping for any music!
However, if someone insists, I suppose that I might opt for what a very large number of people already seem to choose ;-)

Mrs jd and I went to the funeral yesterday of an 18 yr old boy, sadly killed on Boxing Day.
Of course the occasion was sad, but without doubt the happiest funeral I have been to. 4 pieces of his favourite music were played including 2 Rap songs. I always thought I couldn't stand Rap, but reading the words along with the song were amazing.
His mum and dad were wonderful, and it truly was a celebration of an all too short a life.
As for me, I want to out to Gracie Fields singing 'Wish Me Luck As You Wave Me Goodbye!'
