Has anyone ever been to a Sigur Ros concert?  I read a review where the guy said that one girl fainted.  What were your impressions of the experience?

Breathtaking, atmospheric, exhilarating, ambient, uplifting, spine-tingling, rousing...

When I saw them, Sigur Rs started with Svefn-G-Englar but, to begin with, just his haunting vocals of the high tj repetitively reverberating for about five minutes with no other instruments at all. It was captivating and mesmerising and I thoroughly enjoyed the whole concert. It helped that I knew every song they've produced.

i almost died. it was just, amazing. better than i thought it was going to be, because i wasn't really that into them (my friend talked me into going with him because one of his friends had dropped out) but... i have no words.

I've seen them 3 tiems and they just get better. I have no comprehension of how they can make music like they do. Some of the sounds they get out of a guitar by shouting into the pick ups / using a cello bow on the strings with reverb etc are just mesmerising. One of the best bands on the planet.

See them. quick.
Well, they're on at my theatre in a couple months' time and people better not faint on my watch...seriously, they're only playing two dates in the UK this year, here (Manchester) and Glasgow, and both are long sold out.  You need to be quick on the draw to get tickets for them obviously.
Just remembered the word I was trying to think of earlier - euphoric.
