Is it possibly my age showing,that I can see CD"s still in their cellophane wrapping,that arrived days ,weeks ago..or just the fact that eveything is so easily available now...that we become blase ?

Early 1970s rushed to local record shop, listened to a track in the booth with the headphones, although I knew I was going to buy that Led Zeppelin LP. Then rushed back home and recorded it from my mono record player (mum and dad bought me mono because they thought stereo would be too noisy!) via a little stand-up microphone onto my battery operated Dansette cassette recorder. Then when the electricity went off that night, due to the rolling power cuts I could listen 'til my U2s ran out. Still love Led Zep and still got my LPs.
