With this countries global music pedigree past and present, and this is the best we can come up with ?! Its to curlingly cringeworthy rubbish
Irrespective of what you think of the EuroSong contest (its utter tripe and garbage) surely if we are going to enter it then lets not totally embarrass ourselves with this dire song.
EH was/is a decent at best singer , hes sold enough ! but hes no Frank Sinatra,Tony Bennet etc etc but hes now 75 and the vid is so tacky he looks exactly like he is 75 !, made up and he still looks 75.
How much worse can it get ?

And it has been written and produced by Grammy Award-winning Martin Terefe and Ivor Novello Award-winning Sacha Skarbek.
Skarbek co-wrote James Blunt's You're Beautiful and Lana Del Rey's Born To Die.
While Terefe has written and produced songs for James Morrison, KT Tunstall and Mary J Blige. "
And thats what they come up ???? What The Funicular, that makes it all the worse
Why on earth they needed to record in LA London and Nashville is totally beyond me, it could have been done in just about any studio and Joe public wouldnt have been able to tell the difference.
You just gotta love the self indulgent mooosic biz

// To save any further embarrassment I think we should just give up entering this ridiculous competition!! //
I thought that for a while, but then why should we? It should just be a bit of fun - why do we care if 'we' win it or not? It's a silly competition and we should just join in the silliness of it and stop behaving as if the outcome is important.
I agree with andy-hughes. I think it's a pretty good entry as eurovision entries go.

I am from the UK but live in Greece. I haven't heard the UK entry but the songs for the UK for many years have been dire! The Greeks had some great songs (all in English) and it must have been difficult to choose 1 to represent Greece but the winning song is great, very catchy! I think it stands a good chance!
