I've sold a set of luggage on ebay, (my twin blue set not my hard body white with pink flowers set) and it was collection only starting at 6.99, some bloke from Stoke-On-Trent has won them (at 6.99, sole bidder ) and he's now got to do a 110 mile round trip to pick em up!!!
They truly are Mavericks in them there potteries

Probably new to the game dotty. My Daughter sold a set of bowling green bowls to someone in Leicester, she lives in Milton Keynes. It just so happened that we were travelling back from visiting her so we saved her postage and met the guy in a service station on the way home.

I think it is the thrill of winning for some people. I have sold some stuff (new, in the box) for more than a new one from the shops - the world is full of dimwits.

I sold something 'collect only' and the buyer was in Australia. But he was coming to UK the next month and he called in to collect. Possibly your buyer had to be in your area anyway so he will pick them up at the same time.

You never know though. I recently made a pick up only purchase from Nottingham and I live in Brighton. But what the seller didn't know was that I would be coming back down the M1 from my holidays and passing about 4 miles from his door. We're not all daft - well not all of the time:-)

well I've sent him the invoice and added that i can meet him at the standish junction on the M6 if it's easier for him.
I'd never sell my hard bodied white with pink flowers set they are amazing, they roll sideways on wheels and you can't feel any weight in them! It feels great rolling them through an airport like that as it takes just one finger to propel them and everyone stares in envy lol.
