Why couldn't he stand in front of the sports governing body and admit to lying/cheating instead of no doubt earning a fat fee by doing it on a celebrity chatshow?
I was saddened and quite shocked when I heard him actually admit it. I still believed he was innocent as he always seemed so nice and I admired his fight to overcome cancer.
Not only is he a cheat but he says he feels no guilt or remorse. On telly here today (in US) there have been people who have been bullied and threatened by him when they hinted at his drug use in the past. The guy's a jerk.
Armstrong has chose her because he knows he's in for an easy ride (boom boom); seriously he knows that she's an easy interviewer who's not going to give him any difficult questions.
nor did she, he will find it a lot more difficult once the lawsuits start rolling in, from those he has sued for daring to suggest that he was a cheat. Big problem also comes if it taints the rest of the sport, they will have to up their game to prove that no cheating is going on.
he has said that he wishes to compete again, and that whilst some involved in his doping, who they have been given a six month suspension, he says he has been given a death penalty, rather an odd phrase wouldn't you say.
he doesn't seem to grasp quite how bad this is.
It was mentioned on tv earlier (so must be true) that he's been banned from all sports; that must surely be the "death penalty" to which he's referring although he has probably received death threats via the internet too.
i think he meant that whilst some have got off lightly, he has received a life ban, which i guess to him feels like a death penalty, though he is not in prison on death row, i don't feel sorry for him at all. He has made a fool out of a lot of people, countered any number of lawsuits, sued many. Surely now he has said his piece shouldn't he get on with his life. I wonder how many more will come out the woodwork, cheats never win, not in reality..
