This doesn't do much to change my view about it all. If anything makes me more against it. The idea of giving so much responsibility to a 17-year-old, let alone one who clearly hasn't got the hang of when to keep her mouth shut, isn't one I agree with at all.
Representative of some maybe, though if she is meant to be a good example and represent the police force and all that, it's shameful really.
You cannot maybe expect the behaviour of an adult though she is 17 and should have common sense if nothing else to know that tweeting all that kind of thing is a really bad idea, especially in role with such a public profile - it doesn't show very good judgment.
I'd have thought she may have resigned herself.
I'm wondering at the point of the position, didn't know they had youth ones.

Well the fact that she doesn't show good judgement is part of my point about the idea of giving anything like this to someone so young. She should be, well, being a teenager.
Apparently she only got the role four days ago, so if that is the case maybe it's not really fair to remove her from the role just yet. Especially if the tweets in question were made a while back.

That's true, I have no idea what she is there to actually do. You would think (well I would) and hope though that it she had enough nouse to go for and get the job in the first place that if you're representing a body like the police who are meant to be impartial, not racist, homophobic etc... or impressed with drunken nonsense and questionable behaviour that she should watch what she says on a public forum (or have the brains to delete anything she has said if she has "reformed").
This person was beiing discussed by a few of the youth in the town, with the general agreement that
1. She's another "tory toff"..
2. She don't know nothing about their world.
3. She doesn't want to know anything about their world.
4. They'll never see or hear her in real life
5. She's a joke sent by us oldies to keep them quiet
I did say, give her a chance, but the concensus is that this is all a stunt, and the young people have "better" things to do, and we should ignore her.

"not racist"
she hasnt said anything remotely racist if you look at what she said,
"On ordering pizza, two months ago: "F****** hell why are the people from Direct Pizza so difficult to talk too!! IT IS CALLED ENGLISH. LEARN IT."
Shes spot on
but as usual the self righteous indignant left eg: Keith Greasy nothing sticks Vaz get on their high horses and start going off on one.

Of course people should try to learn English if they come to leave here. Doesn't mean that the tweet was telling the truth. Could have just been a strong accent, which is hard to understand over the phone. And it's a fair bet that if someone got a job working at a pizza takeaway place that they can speak English - just not necessarily well enough to cope with all the different accents. It's anyway I think a bad idea to read anything into this girl's tweets. She probably was trying to be funny rather than making serious political commentary.
no but not because of her especially but because this illustrates the complete folly of having a teenagaer in a sensible role. Very few of them could do it. They are themselves trying to make sense of things using a melting pot of opinions from media and peer pressure all mixed with any recent anger or temporary "prejudice" based some reacent expeience perhaps.
