Itunes Query

I have bought a new Mac laptop and am trying to download an audio book to iTunes, only to find that iTunes appears to have changed out of all recognition. When it opens all I see are a load of album covers. I googled and was told to hit the Expand button on the top left but I can see no such button on my screen. At top left the only button is Library and the drop down menu then gives me a choice of music, books, TV etc.
Can anyone please tell me how on earth I can get back to the former home screen where I can manage and sync my music etc.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You must be in iTunes store....look for home page

Or open books ...see if it gives you a download option

On iTunes Click on View and go down and click on Show Sidebar
