Easy Step To Download Music

Bought my wife a Nano i pod and as a 1st timer can anyone plz give me EASY steps to download music.i.e. best sites etc for 50s/60,s. i pod is fully charged and cable to computer ready to go.(as am I).lol.

You will need to download iTunes (apple equivalent of windows media player) put all the tunes you want into iTunes connect your ipod to the computer and away you go.

As above, because your device is an Apple, so you can only download via Apple's proprietary protocol. That's one of the downsides of Apple.

Or rip your own cds to iTunes library for download..

murraymints if you already have a few tracks stored on your computer can these be put on an i pod or do they have to come from a cd

They would have to be in iTunes library...everything in library ..music photos etc will go to iPod when you synchronize...anything already on iPod but not in library will be lost... mp 3 players can be added to by download from media player....but not iPod !

There is an alternative to i Tunes if you don't want to go down that road. It's called Media Monkey and is a free download (there is a gold version but that is chargeable). It will scan your PC for music and them to the library. Connect your i Pod and then you can "drag and drop" like any other file. This is the only other media player that will let you add/remove tracks or albums to/from an i Pod.Would add however, that you still need to have i Tunes installed.Seems a roundabout way of doingt things but it is a very goodmedia player.Hope this helps.
