When I was a boy in the 1950's we had an old record (maybe from the 1930's) with a comedy song. It described a plumber going down a street knocking on each door in turn for some forgotten reason. He always had to go back for the right tool. On one occasion so the song tells us; "I went to knock at number three and a funny looking bird.......". My memory tells me that the comedian was called Miller, maybe Sandy Miller but I may be mistaken in that detail.
Can anyone help me with identification of this record. I think it was smaller than the normal size?

I can only think of Max Miller( who was as funny as dandruff !!)
Max Miller was brilliant, obviously in these PC times he would be looked upon differently but nevertheless he was very funny at that time.
There was a song called 'I'm the plumber' by someone called Charles Foster, but can't find lyrics
Is it this old song, Vimto ?.
