I cannot believe the insensivity or thoughtlessness of ITV there was a song on Benidorm ITV last night with someone at a karaoke singing two little boys by rolf harris just one day after he is convicted.

They've shown clips of him singing on lots of news programmes. Anyway, Benidorm was probably recorded many months ago. I understand people's concern that this playing of his songs may increase royalties to him though

Unless the programme is obviously unsuitable and can be pulled, they won't rewatch the whole episode of everything in the schedules for small references unfortunately.

I don't see the point of avoiding a song. Those affected by his acts will have been so for years now, and so are unlikely to suddenly be overly sensitive. The rest of us would only be making a fuss/scene for whatever reason, maybe a misguided belief they act in the interests of the victims. The work of an individual does not cease to be as good or bad as it ever was before society learnt they had a dark side. For sure one might expect new stuff to choose a different song, but editing the old ? That's not the way to go.

I'd agree if it was Rolf harris singing it but a karaoke version in a brief shot of a program...I mean it just gets silly.

I'm far more offended by the sight of Jimmy Savile's leering face in the press over and over again, than I would be by a karaoke version of the song RH happened to sing years back. Don't forget Benidorm was probably filmed months back, well before the recent conviction of said person.

"Two Little Boys" was in fact a very good, innocent song about the two boys going to war. I really dont think that it has to be connected with Rolfs dirty deeds.
