Has anyone else noticed we are getting more and more crossword questions in quizzes and puzzles now?
Dont they know there is a section for crosswords?

Well a crossword is a puzzle, not a problem really - they all get answered.

It tends to be the same posters who may have Q&P bookmarked or go out of habit. But i know some have said they choose it on purpose because it's less congested than Crosswords (which seems odd to me as almost every question in Crosswords gets answered fully within a minute).
But whilst i prefer to have to look in one section for crossword clues I don't think we can do much about it and Ed seems not to make an issue- he initially asked us to redirect posters there but I found I was being ticked off by others for being petty.
Maybe it just needs to be accepted for now and maybe it'll settle down eventually

Must admit I sometimes post a question thinking I'm on Crosswords and find that I'm on Q & P, but question always gets answered anyway

No, this was discussed a few days back too - it doesn't matter to me which section they post it in, it's still a puzzle.

To be honest I like them appearing in recent post's Usually an answer but do wonder sometimes ... how the smart cookies on here came up with it.

I know I've got OCD but it seems better to me that if we are going to have separate sections we should try to encourage people to use them. I like to answer certain topics and prefer just to have to look in one place for them. To use an extreme example, we'd get complaints if people regularly posted Jokes in Crosswords; but I can also see the point that a Crossword is a Puzzle- so it's a personal preference as to where to draw the line.
Maybe Ed should put the two sections back together again.

When it comes to the sport section (Has dwindled over the past few years) I really don't mind if a Q. is posted in 'Sport' than not the Sub-section of Football for Eg.

When it comes to Quizzes and Puzzles Its scarier than the news section. ;-)

The move to a separate section for Crosswords was implemented quietly and went unnoticed by some and wasn't really tidied up in that all the guidance notes in Crosswords section refer to Quizzes and Puzzles. Maybe we should just lump them together again
