Welcome to the wonderful world of music from Runrig slinky.
I've been a huge fan since discovering them by chance when they were promoting "The Cutter and The Clan" album on the radio back in 1987.
You MUST see them live. I've seen them live now 5 times in Glasgow.
Twice with Donnie Munro singing and 3 times with new singer Bruce Guthro.
I don't speak Gaelic but the song melodies on the Gaelic songs are up lifting.
I have all their albums to date and my favourite songs are:
Rocket To The Moon,
Running To The Light,
Maymorning,
Faileas Air An Airigh,
Harvest Moon.
But I like them all to be honest.
Enjoy your Runrig discovery. :o)

I remember queing for a ticket for my brother - chap from record shop came out, counted the number of people in the queue and stopped counting a few people behind me - they were counting as they were selling out!
So I decided to get 2 tickets, with intention of selling second (pre internet!) but ended up going to the concert as well!

I really like the Live at Loch Lomond album.
When Woolworths was open they used to stock the top 40 albums in every branch. Runrig albums always got in the top 40 because they sold in Scotland. No one had heard of Rnrig in England, so they used to end up in the bargain bin. I picked up several Runrig albums for 50p that way.

The album I meant was "Once in a lifetime Live)". It great. Get it here
