Airplane cost?

How much will it cost me to travel by plane from the East coast of America (i.e. New York) to San Jose in California, during the month of August. Also how long will it take me approximately to get there?

The flight time is between five and a half to six hours. Prices can be anything from �300 to �600 economy. You may be able to get cheaper if you shop around. Also, if you are flying over to the States from Britain in the same trip, don't forget to mention this when booking your internal flight, as you won't have to pay as much tax.

it will depend on the number of stops you are willing to make and whether you are traveling during the week or on saturday and whether you want to buy a roundtrip or one-way. In most cases a RT ticket is cheaper, so you can buy it and throw away the back half (although be sure not to tell the agent that you intend to do this bc it is technically illegal to bypass the expensive one-way tickets this way). I would check skyauction.com because there are some fantastic deals. I have used the site 3 times to buy one ways and RT's to Asia. Be sure though that your date is set because in America the agents do not let you change the date. In Asia they let you pay $75 and change. If you buy moer than 15 days ahead of time, you should be able to get a ticket for about $600 or less. If you are student or can figure a way to get a student ID, prices are cheaper.
