I am trying to track down some prints by an artist whose initials are L.F.

They are a series of cartoon fat men playing sports - titles are 'The Tennis Match'. 'The Regatta' and 'Mine'.

If anyone can help - or advise how I can track down this artist - I have tried Google images with every combination of words I can think of.

Here's hoping ...

I usually love trying to find solutions to problems like this - but there are zillions of that type of drawing and I had no idea at all of what I was looking for.

The arty folk might be able to help but more info would help. Modern or old art, black and white or coloured? Are they British? Do you have one that you can scan so a reverse search can be attempted.

I am off to feed the moggies - I may be gone some time!

Hi Wolf - thanks for your offer of help.

The pictures are colour - the men have huge bodies and tiny heads.

I Think the artist is modern. Our prints are from a batch of 150.

I think there is a Cricket Match in the set as well, and the one called ‘Mine’ is a football game.

I’ll try and get a photo scanned and posted to help.

Thanks again.

I`m leaning towards lyonel feininger he has a work called the regatta but I cant find the type of picture you were looking for although he was known as a caricaturist
have you tried running a scan of one of the pictures through a site like tineye -www.tineye.com - its a reverse image search.

Thank you so much Chinajan! I never thought my question would get a positive result.

I am buying a print for my wife for her birthday, and time was running out - I am so happy to be able to get one in time.

Thanks also to everyone else who pitched in - appreciate your time and trouble.
