Hi folks

I wonder if anyone can help me.

Over here in the UK recently they have just been running a series of adverts on the TV for New Zealand - the accompanying music really caught my attention - advert here - [url]http://www.newzealand.com/travel/souvenirs/video-library /super-tvc/super-tvc_home.cfm[/url]

It says along the side of the site that the music was by Dave Dobbyn, I managed to find a small clip of the song on a website but it was sung and sounded really different. The version on the advert almost sounds like its Neil Finn singing??

Any idea where I can get hold of this version of the track - is it on an album?

Its a cover of the track "waiting" by dave dobbyn and its not neil finn singing,the lyrics are at http://songlyrics.co.nz/lyrics/d/davedobbyn/waiting.htm

The version in the ad is by Jason Kerrison. It was specially recorded for the ad and is not available on a commercial release.

I have to say i am so gutted to read this post, as I too have been desperate to get this song, and searching for it I find this post :( Downloaded the Dave Dobbin one aswell and I agree it's AWFUL!!!!. :( Lets just hope that whoever sang the one for the AD decides to release it. Fingers Crossed
