Watching the film now on 5 USA. Fab film. I used to dance to his music in my teens. Happy memories. The film was made in 1953.

Bobbie is that the June Alyson and James Stewart one? If so I love that film, watched it first when I was 10 with my nana in the 80's and can honestly say it was the start of me loving old movies.

Yes that's the one islay. James Stewart looked just like Glen Miller

It was a really lovely film, saw it when it first came out. They never found out what happened to him, such a loss.

No never did so far. Glenn Miller is definiteley my favourite music since I was a kid. Got most of his albums.
It was believed his Norseman aircraft was bombed by a returning bomber squadron on way back to England. The bomber's target was obscured by cloud so they jettisoned their bombs in a designated sight over the Channel on their return. A tail gunner later reported he thought he saw a light aircraft flying below them. It shouldn't have been there.
