Of course not...but this has got me thinking...isn't it about time that we had a female Bond villain?
I don't mean a Rosa Kleb character, but the chief villain. Seems crazy after all this time that Bond hasn't had a female foe.
I know how people feel about a black Bond and a female Dr Who, but surely it'd be okay to have a strong female lead villain?
Tilde Swinton
Angela Bassett
Gillian Anderson
Viola Davis
Cate Blanchett
They could all work.

//a gay male Bond or a straight female one, then? //
a basic character tenet of Bond as created by Fleming is that he's a womaniser. neither a gay bond nor a female bond would be, well, bond, and the whole character of the stories would change. a gay or female secret agent? hey why not. but they wouldn't be bond.
