Yes he does, and I'm not saying he can deal with it on his own. But he certainly could drive an initiative. I would have thought this a good opportunity to make his mark.
Funny how after every murder, there were not calls for Boris Johnson to seize the opportunity.
The Mayor is responsible for overseeing policing, but the Home Office are ultimately responsible for the Police, and the Police are responsible for enforcing law and order.
The Police probably know exactly who they are looking for from CCTV so there is no need to issue a description.
You'll just have to wait to have your prejudices confirmed.
I'm not sure why Mr Khan's name has been mentioned. Yes, he is Mayor of London and no doubt he is involved in trying to make London safer, but I've no idea what you expect him to do in one specific case. Terrible, terrible, thing to have happened. Crazy people!!

What prejudices ? If you think "Asian" gentlemen then I think you are wrong. One thing I have noticed is that they tend not to ride BMX bikes. This bunch are most likely white scum.
Naomi, it often needs one case to kick start an initiative.
The slaughter of an innocent man on the streets of London is surely a good point to start. It is by no means an isolated case but it is a particularly nasty one and surely can be used as a catalyst to drive change?
Or are you also happy with the current situation, like many ABers seem to be? Very odd.
youngmafbog, no I'm not happy with the current situation - I haven't been happy with the situation for years - but I can't see why you've picked on this specific incident. An American tourist was stabbed to death in London a few weeks ago. Why not pick on that?

Ah! well there you have it youngmafbog you have dared to touch some very raw nerves, one has to be very careful these days in issuing descriptions especially if some suspect that the thugs have a 50/50 chance of not being white.
But then that has not stopped the police from stating that they were a group of males, makes one wonder why they didn't leave out that description, just in case it may "hinder the investigation" you understand?
