King has never admitted that what he did was wrong, only that the law should allow him to have sex with boys, as long as they were willing. A famous quote from him, goes something like this :::

"The only apology I have is to say that I was good at seduction. I was good at making myself seem attractive when I wasn't very attractive at all"

For someone like that who cannot admit they are wrong I'm afraid they need to be locked away for life. Not as punishment but to protect innocent potential victims.

At one of his trials, the Judge said this :::

"This was a serious breach of trust. You used your fame and success to attract adolescent and impressionable boys. "You then abused the trust they and their parents placed in you."

He will never change. But, unless the law is altered, he cannot be kept in jail indefinitely.

The system can make his remaining years a misery by jailing him on specific offences but keeping a few back for when he's released.
Costs an extra bob or two but worth it, especially if it all gets too much and tips him over the edge.

I was only a kid when I remember watching 'Entertainment USA'.

I recall thinking at the time I did not like the look of him and especially his mouth.

Of course, I would never have guessed or known about the type of behaviours he indulged in.
