Scorched Lawn
12 Answers
I have put some lawn fertiliser on my lawn. I thought I was careful using a spreader but it has scorched it. I am keeping it watered but what are the chances it will grow back. Can't remember what I used as I have thrown boz away but it was advertised on TV and I was impressed.

As you will see, its a case of keep watering and then wait before re-seeding.

As others have said rake out the dead moss ( if it's moss) water frequently, buy a couple of boxes of grass seed (£4 from Wilkos) and spread over the whole area after cutting. Will soon come back nice and thick too. I burnt my grass last year and after doing the above this year I have the best grass ever.
It just might be the case that the scorched areas is where the careful spreading has overlapped and gone down in double strength in certain areas (a fine line between too little or too much, maybe). If that was the case, brushing with a besom or the like afterwords might have achieved a more even coverage.
To avoid my grass going brown, I prefer to mow it in the morning, rather than the afternoon, even if its still a bit dewy.
The only lawn fertilizer that I can recall that was advertised on TV, was 'evergreen 80, if thats any help ?.
