Welcome to Title Builder Beta.

This small piece of kit is designed to make building your Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle question more effective. It should make finding your question easier for others and, the easier it is to find, the more likely someone is to answer it!

To build an easy to find question title simply select the paper and quiz, enter the quiz number if relevant and fill in the Publication Date. Once you’re happy click “Build Title” and the information should populate the Title field. Fill in the final required details of your question as you normally would, and click submit.

As this is a Beta we only have a limited number of papers and quizzes listed. If you think your favourite Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle should be listed here don’t hesitate to contact us.

Remember: You do not have to use the title builder - simply enter the title and question as you normally would and click submit!

Not really a question, but I wonder how many think this is deeply flawed? Themed answers without further definition are well and good, but there has to be some discipline to the theme, not Let's make as many of them Greek myth as we can, but feel free to go to Norse or Asian myths when we get stuck.

And there are far too many four-letter lights, which are especially hard when they are obscure theme words with too few crossers (especially uncrossed first letters) to help you work them out.

Normally, what I love about these puzzles is that after a certain amount of work you get to a peak when something important slots into place and everything seems to open out from there. But I've passed that peak already, and after a temporary acceleration, the solution is now grinding to a halt, mainly because of those pesky four-letter words. Aaghh!
