They’re hot, taste of potatoes, but they don’t taste like chips anymore.

Tonight I wrapped one in tissue, then unwrapped it, and the tissue was clean! No hint of fat. How can you fry potatoes and leave no fat?

What is occuring?

You would certainly get some fat from a macy D's chip. (or fry)

I hadn’t heard of airfryers but that certainly fits the taste & consistency.

Plus of course we’re in north London, where real chips are probably banned.
