If you have a spare bedroom do you keep the bed made up or wait until you know that someone is coming to stay?

Made and changed regularly , I know, I know :/
Always ready and made up. I like to know there is an escape if the snoring noises next to me become too much!
Usually not made up but currently all ready just in case one of us falls ill, or more likely can’t sleep.
Only once in my life, recently, have I had a spare room. And I turned it into a music room. So, if anyone wants to stay, I still have to change everything for them and sleep on settee.
My daughter and her partner are the only ones to use the spare room. Clean bedding goes on just before a visit. If I put it on just after a visit, I'd have to change it anyway just before as months can pass in between...like now. :(
I would get a plastic cover for when it's not in use and make it when you have visitors.
I have a spare bed. It is made up, but the people who might sleep in it bring their own duvets and pillows. Not a reflection on my cleanliness, they just prefer their own bedding.
Not made up. Everytime I sort the room out someone 'stores' something in there.

Interesting. I have always found it very welcomeing when people tell me that the spare room is made up anytime we want to visit. But I dont do it myself probably because we rarely have people to stay now.

If I made it up it wouldnt feel fresh for a visitor who might not be due for some months.

Also, when I did use to leave it made up I found it all too easy to creep in there for just another 10 minutes after my alarm had gone off on cold winter mornings!!
I keep it made up. But if someone is coming to stay I air the room and put fresh bedding on because i can't be sure that the cat hasn't slept on it.
We only have a spare bed when boy #1 is at uni. I wash his bedding when he goes back and wash it again before he comes home (nothing better than a freshly changed bed that smells of ‘home’).
I keep the bed made up and freshen the bedclothes regularly, paint it up every so often, my sister comes home sometimes so it is really her room, always ready for her and heaven knows when she could come home (after this lockdown) so I like to have her room ready and welcoming - my friends think I have a spare room, I know it's my sisters, her little bits and bobs are around the room, her alarm clock etc., I just keep the battery going in that - yep, in reply, I keep the bed made up and room fresh
made up because I have to store the bedding somewhere.
Same as ummmm, not made up and when I've tidied it someone dumps something in there. Errr, that someone is me, I live on my own. :)
most of my teddy bear collection lives on mine.
I wish I had a spare room.

Was hoping to move into a 3 bed by the end of the year but maybe unlikely now.
