Love Them Or Loathe Them

ABBA were one of the greatest bands ever. I recorded and watched a documentary about them from when they first started out to their latest album.

Whether you liked them or not there must be at least one song of theirs that you may have hummed to as they had hit after hit after hit.

Which of their song(s) would you say you like the most?

Mine are Eagle and The Day Before You Came.

I love ABBA.

Dancing Queen is an obvious favourite. Strange how music is linked to memory. That one takes me back to my first night at Uni. I can even remember what I was wearing then (green jumper that I’d knitted myself and black skirt from Next)

Another is Super Trouper (7 years old, my birthday party, wearing my bridesmaid’s dress)

Digging through my records I have found an album called The Visitors and am now playing it. I'm not sure I would have recognised them from the first song, very different from anything on ABBA Gold

I am certain that I saw them on TV shortly after winning Euro vision. They said their English was very poor and they had no idea what the words of Waterloo meant, no idea of what the song was about.
I'm confused because they wrote it.
